Speakout And March Against Separating Families

Madison, WI
6/23/2018

In response to the horrific zero-tolerance policy of the Trump administration, families and supporters gathered in Library Mall on the University of Wisconsin Madison campus for a rally.

A crowd of 300 – 400 people marched from Library Mall down State Street to the capital building. Stopping along the way to chant or listen to speakers, the marchers did one of the things a peaceful protest should: disrupted the normal flow of daily life, making those walking down the street to pause and look up, at intersections providing a delay in traffic, and chanting and speaking clearly and loudly their message.
