Photos from an assignment with the Isthmus (Madison) at the Oscar Mayer auction. In late 2015 the plant announced it was closing and moving operations to Chicago, Illinois. This auction was to clear out the equipment the company left behind. Those bidding on items were looking to buy for scrap or to reuse/respurpose items, like Madison chef Jonny Hunter from the Underground Food Collective.
