Today, March 6th 2018, is the third anniversary of death of 19 year old Tony Robinson. He was shot seven times in a matter of three seconds, murdered in cold blood by police officer Matt Kenny, who was later cleared of any wrong doing. As has been the case in similar instances, the police officer simply says she/he feared for their lives and are allowed to return to duty as if nothing happened.

When you see shootings like this on the news in other places you never think it will happen here. And when it does and you see no justice, you start to loose faith in a system whose motto is to ‘serve and protect.’ What it appears to mean is that the police serve and protect their own before the citizens they swore an oath to look after.
